WOODBRIDGE —Barry Adler, Assembly candidate for the 19th Legislative District announced his decision on Thursday to withdraw from a heated Democratic primary against Assemblyman Joe Vas.

Adler, a Veterinarian from Woodbridge said in reference to Wednesday’s 19th Legislative Nominating Convention, “As a committee man myself I respect the clear decision that was made.  Although I care deeply about serving the public, I recognize that this is not my year to run for public office.

“I want to especially thank my family, friends and all those that have supported me throughout my campaign.  It was your belief in my campaign that gave me the energy for this challenge, Adler said.
