Coalition for Andrews Grows in Middlesex County

Middlesex Borough Officials Call for Change
MIDDLESEX COUNTY -- Congressman Rob Andrews added to his list of endorsements for Senate today by gaining the support of Middlesex Borough’s Mayor Jerry D’Angelo and Democratic Party Chairman Ron Dimura.
The endorsements add to a growing coalition of other prominent Middlesex County officials who have backed Rob Andrews for Senate including Senators Smith, Vitale and Buono, as well as Assemblyman John Wisniewski, Woodbridge Mayor John McCormac, Carteret Mayor Dan Reiman and East Brunswick chairman Shawn Taylor.
Mayor D’Angelo said, “Congressman Andrews understands the needs of small communities like Middlesex. Our residents work hard for every dollar they make and they want representation in Washington that will bring fresh ideas to the serious challenges facing the working-families.”
D’Angelo went on to say, “Senator Lautenberg has done a great job but its time to move our policies in a different direction.”
Party Chairman Ron DiMura stated he also has great respect for Senator Lautenberg but believes its time Democrats have new representation in the Senate, “Frank Lautenberg has served New Jersey with great dignity for twenty years but I’m supporting Rob Andrews because I’m excited about the new ideas and change from status quo policy that his candidacy offers.”
DiMura added, “There’s a real sense of enthusiasm around the county for Congressman Andrews. He’s energized a lot of democrats seeking real change in Washington.”
