3 DAYS TO GO: GOVERNOR CORZINE SUPPORTS DISCRIMINATION OF NEW JERSEY DRIVERS?

3 DAYS TO GO: WHERE IS GOVERNOR CORZINE ON TOLL INCREASES ON TUNNELS AND BRIDGES?

3 DAYS TO GO: Time to act is now, before new tolls take effect on July 12.

The last time we asked Governor’s office, he was unaware of this issue! Governor Corzine New Jersey drivers need you! Only 3 days left!

Starting July 12, when the MTA increase takes effect, the E-ZPass discount traditionally set aside for all E-ZPass users, will only apply to drivers who enrolled in the program through the E-ZPass New York Service Center. Those not enrolled through New York will be charged the same price as drivers who pay cash to use the seven bridges and two tunnels.

All E-ZPass cars are currently charged $4.15 on major crossings like the Throgs Neck Bridge or Robert F. Kennedy Bridge. Starting July 12, cars registered through the New York's service center will pay $4.57, while cars that have E-Zpass through another agency, such as New Jersey E-Zpass or the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, will pay $5.50 -- the same price that will be charged to those using cash. Drivers using cash currently are charged $5 to use the crossings. The George Washington Bridge is not among the crossings affected. Only MTA bridges and tunnels are impacted.

Note: E-ZPass rates apply to New York-E-ZPass Customer Service Center customers only. Non-NYCSC customers will pay the cash rates. (For more information, visit the MTA)

We are asking Governor Corzine for an immediate intervention with the MTA to stop discrimination against New Jersey drivers.
