BRET SCHUNDLER ENDORSES JAY WEBBER FOR ASSEMBLY
Webber is the Conservative Leader New Jersey Needs
Morris Plains, NJ – Webber for Assembly today announced the endorsement of former Republican Gubernatorial nominee and Jersey City Mayor Bret Schundler.
“I am honored to have the support of Bret Schundler,” said Jay Webber. “I greatly respect his consistent conservative leadership of our State and Party. His endorsement is yet another indication that our campaign best embodies the conservative principles of cutting taxes and spending, promoting the pro-life cause and protecting traditional values, enforcing our immigration laws, and reforming government.”
“I support Jay Webber for Assembly because he brings the type of strong, principled leadership that New Jersey needs so desperately,” stated Bret Schundler. “If we want to turn our State around and get it headed in the right direction again, Jay is precisely the kind of conservative candidate we need to send to Trenton: right on the issues and pro-active in pursuing those policies. Jay has a clear vision for a better and brighter New Jersey, and the experience and education to put that vision into practice in Trenton. Jay already has won budget battles against Jim McGreevey and other Democrat Governors. Leading by example, Jay has made personal commitments to the important government reforms he proposes. That’s why he fought successfully to end taxpayer-funded pensions for legislators, and he will refuse taxpayer funded healthcare benefits for his part-time legislative work. Jay’s leadership for our shared values is crucial to making New Jersey again an affordable place for families, and I look forward to his leadership and service in the Assembly.”
This endorsement from Bret Schundler continues the drumbeat of support for the conservative campaign of Webber for Assembly, and joins the endorsements of Webber for Assembly:
Passaic County Regular Republican Organization, on a ticket with Joe Pennacchio and Alex DeCroce; New Jersey Right to Life PAC, the largest pro-life organization in the State; New Jersey Committee for Life, the NJ affiliate of the National Right to Life Committee; Republicans for Conservative Leadership PAC; Morris Plains Mayor and former Morris County Freeholder Frank Druetzler; Former Morris County Freeholder Cecelia “Cissy” Laureys; and more than 60 additional endorsements from conservative leaders and Republican officials.
