New Club officers elected at Annual Meeting;
Committed to electing 2006 Republican Council slate

Washington Township (Gloucester County)- Monday night, the Washington Township Republican Club held its annual reorganization meeting. In a unanimous vote, Kevin Tomafsky was elected as President and Ralph Grandizio was chosen as Vice President. Re-elected were Agnes Gardiner as Secretary and Nancy Torgan as Treasurer. The new officers took office at the conclusion of last night’s meeting.

Tomafsky succeeds Patti Wolfe, whose term ended at the conclusion of the meeting. Wolfe congratulated the new leader on his election, noting: “I look forward to working with Kevin as we all further the goals of this organization and put our efforts towards restoring a Republican majorities in Washington Township.�

Tomafsky, 24, has served the party in several capacities over the past several years including leadership roles in several high profile campaigns in the Third and Fourth Legislative Districts in addition to Washington Township.

Tomafsky, in accepting his new role stated: “I appreciate the club members for putting their trust in me in this most important election year in Washington Township. This Republican Party stands ready to take back control of council and bring back the integrity that is lacking in Washington Township government. As President, I have set my goals and plan to achieve them by the end of my term. The Republican Party of Washington Township will grow in numbers and we will get our message out to the people of this great town,� concluded Tomafsky.

Vice President Grandizio was equally enthusiastic: “As Vice President of the Washington Township Republican Club, I will be dedicated to returning our party to leading our great community. Together, with hardworking Republicans who believe like I do that we need to get the township back in the hands of the people and out of the current administration that caters to destructive special interests.�

Washington Township Republican Municipal Chairman Howard Pachasa enthusiastically endorsed the new slate, stating: “I and the entire Executive Committee look forward to working with Kevin, Ralph and the entire Republican Club as we work towards restoring sound government in Washington Township. Kevin and I have worked, and continue to work together in the best interests of the people of this proud town. We are committed to restoring the luster of our “premiere community.�

The Washington Township Republican Club meets every 3rd Monday of every month at New Seasons Assisted Living on Egg Harbor Road. All registered Republicans are welcome to join. More information can be obtained at the Organization’s website at www.wtgop.org.
