State Sen. Paul Sarlo (D-Sanzari) denies that he's not intellectually up to the job as Chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee.

"I'm looking at a wall right now with a masters (sic) degree and 2 professional licenses hanging on it," Sarlo said in an e-mail to PolitickerNJ.com.

Sarlo also apologized for using profanities while presiding over a meeting of the Senate Judiciary Committee last week.  When the panel failed to approve the nomination of his friend, quadruple-dipper Nicholas Fargo, to the Hudson County Board of Taxation, Sarlo said: "That's bullshit.  Bullshit. Bullshit."

"I perfectly and intelligently expressed my frustration and disappointment at a Republican colleague who broke protocol," Sarlo wrote.  "In the future I pledge to only use words that contain at least three syllables and which constitute proper King's English befitting a scholar and a gentleman."

He's an engineer

At least he's better in science and math than Chris Christie.

dumb

the scary thing is that the senate keeps promoting sarlo up, bagger will eat him alive in the budget

Smart, like Fredo Corleone

I'm smart! Not like everybody says... like dumb... I'm smart and I want respect!

"I'm looking at a wall right

"I'm looking at a wall right now with a masters (sic) degree and 2 professional licenses hanging on it," Sarlo said

"Dr. Wasser" and couple of others from Freehold School District also had a couple of degrees hanging on their wall. Unfortunately they were not intelligent enough to know the school who awarded them was not accredited -

just a thought...

Something Seriously Wrong

There is something seriously wrong when a elected officials finds a need to reach out and tell people he really is "smart".

The Senator doth protest too much, methinks

Pardon me, but do you have any Grey Poupon?

I believe at this moment in the Monarchy, it is the Queen's English.  And mother-effer would fit Sarlo's 3 or more syllable rule and probably rolls off his tongue with all the fluidity of Hamlet's soliloquy rolling off of Sir Laurence Olivier's.

MS

M.S in Civil Engineering doesn't mean you can read, write, or spell. It's a professional, not academic degree, to be honest (but then so is a J.D).
