U.S. Senator Robert Menendez (D-Hoboken) was not among the 200 Democrats who signed a letter this week urging Democratic legislators to pass a marriage equality law - although his son and his daughter did. Menendez, the chairman of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, joins Barack Obama and Joseph Biden as national Democratic leaders who have not supported same sex marriage - but the presence of his children on the letter sends a signal that he would like to see the bill passed.

wow, is that our standard now for leadership and courage ? it's now a good thing to not support an issue you supposedly believe in and you hide behind your cowardice by implying you had something to do with having your own kids support of the issue? that is leadership? have we really set the bar this low???? pathetic to even imply that is a good thing.
