Sarlo: 'That's bullshit. Bullshit. Bullshit.'

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Paul Sarlo (D-Sanzari), not exactly the most articulate man in the Senate, seemed a bid out of control last week when the nomination of Nicholas Fargo to the Hudson County Board of Taxation failed to get through his committee.  Fargo already has several government jobs - he's the Business Administrator at Hudson County Schools of Technology, the Chief Financial Officer for the Borough of Wood-Ridge (where Sarlo is Mayor), and the Wood-Ridge school treasurer- which puts him in at least two state pension funds. State Sen. Bill Baroni (R-Hamilton) objected to Fargo receiving a fourth job, and the Judiciary Committee - controlled by Democrats -- didn't release his nomination.  That caused Sarlo to lose it: "That's bullshit.  Bullshit.  Bullshit," Sarlo said, perhaps not realizing that his microphone was still on.  Suddenly the Office of Legislative Service cut the audio.

Listen to Judiciary Radio at 1:59 for the Fargo nomination.

Editor's note: Sarlo announced last month that he would give up his own third government job; he'll leave his post as Carlstadt municipal engineer at the end of the year to concentrate on his responsibilities as a State Senator, as Wood-Ridge Mayor, and as CEO of Joseph Sanzari Companies.

Wow,

Does Paul go home and kiss his wife and kids with the same mouth?

sarlo is dumb

as sarlo moves up in senate leadership, his lack of brains and ethics is becoming very apparent. if you listen to him on this judiciary senate radio channel, it is proof of how dumb this man is

Maybe he has...

Tourettes... you never know. Stop being mean to Sarlo (D-Encap).

4th Job in NJ?

This might be a record.

We have double and triple dippers, but a quadruple? This might end up in the Olympic Games for Jobholders.

Some people can't do one job well, imagine trying to do four?

Maybe Rothman is contagious.

Baroni...that was awesome

Sarlo should be ashamed. Three cheers for Baroni and his State Senate colleagues for not allowing Fargo's acceptance, and another cheer for Wally Edge for highlighting this interesting case.

I Have to Agree with Baroni

I mean really - 4 public jobs? And the man protesting - Paul Sarlo - has two public jobs, no wonder he can't see the problem. Baroni is exactly right - it's BS like what Sarlo tried to do that gets people angry at the state house. What I still can't figure out though, is why the voting public keeps all of these jokers in the Senate and Assembky when most of these legislators are double dippers!

And Sarlo is showing himself to be a real class act.....get over it!

way to go Pauli

way to go Pauli. Make Baroni a bigger hero than he thinks he is. not hard to run circles around the majority party on this one. Amateur nite at the Apollo for you.

How many more of these folks does Sarlo support?

I wonder how many other people in his orbit he has helped bundle multiple high paying tax-payer funded jobs for? What about other elected officials? Do they have these too?
