Dobbs on Menendez challenge: maybe

When Bill O'Reilly asked former CNN anchorman Lou Dobbs if he will consider running against U.S. Sen. Robert Menendez (D-Hoboken) in 2012, Dobbs refused to rule it out.  "A lot of things are on my mind, I'm not going to be coy about that," Dobbs said.

Dobbs gets creamed

Obama will be at the top of the ticket and unless something really goes wrong the next four years Dobbs will go the way of Pat Buchanan and the rest of the xenophobic reactionaries.

Dobbs would be a Winner

But he would have to run as a Republican and would therefore need to get the Republican nomination. Running as an independent would be futile and would only ensure the reelection of Menendez. Dobbs is a conservative and would make a great candidate.Bottom line though is that Dobbs could have a much greater impact by remaining as a TV and radio commentator.
