Inside Edge

From Lenny Kaiser's home town, an amazing story

A must-read for political insiders is a story from a weekly newspaper in Bergen County about a candidate for Councilman who secretly taped a meeting at a North Jersey diner with a group of political rivals who wanted to cut a deal to get him out of the race.  The Leader reported today that Republican Chris Johnson provided them with an audio tape of his conversation with Democratic Mayor Peter Massa, two Democratic Councilmen, and a longtime Democratic insider who allegedly offered him "money, appointments, and power" if he dropped his challenge to them.  Johnson says he will offer the tape to the U.S. Attorney's office.

The parties are corrupt

Its the culture of corruption that attracts these corrupt politicians Don't by that GOP non-sense that Daggett is a plant funded by Corzine. Fact is Daggett has no funds at all. Futhermore, Chris Daggett nailed Christie and Corzine for corruption in 3rd Debate

You really have to hand it to Chris Daggett. Not only did he stand toe to toe with Jon Corzine and Chris Christie he really nailed it to them in the 3rd NJ  Gubernatorial Debate. Once again, for the third time in a row, I give this as a notch for Daggett.

Chris Daggett handed it to both Christie and Corzine for corruption saying to fight corruption you need to lead by example.

Daggett then cited specific corrupt activities that Christie and Corzine had engaged in, including illegal campaign finance and pay to play, and neither Corzine or Christie could defend themselves.

Instead, Corzine acknowledges that activity is going on and agrees with Daggett that it needs to stop.
