buying all those votes for $87k?
He ripped that minister off big time. No one should sell their vote so cheaply.
I guess that's what makes Corzine a good businessman.
Money
A GOP supreme court ruled that money equals speech, if Corzine acts within those confines you only have the GOP to blame. JSC is a politician and has been since 2000, Christie was US Attorny a very non-political position that he not only abused, but manipulated. Regardless, for all of Christie's shady doings he blew it
Sounds like "Salvation for Sale" in Black Churches
I never understood why Black Churches would vote for Baby Killing Democrat Candidates. It is not principles, it's business.
Christie Whitman's "street money"
Does anybody think Christie Whitman would be governor if she and Ed Rollins didn't give all that "street money" to black ministers in exchange for NOT telling their church members to go to the polls and vote?
BTW Reginald Jackson and the other black ministers endorsed Whitman. I wonder why?
Republicans in glass houses shouldn't be throwing stones.

To FanovFlorio
Wow. That controversy with Governor Whitmann was sixteen years ago, dude. That was then, this is now. Totally different administration, with nothing to do with Corzine or Christie. I know it's difficult for you to defend Jon Corzine, but you could at least stick to things that happened within the last decade!
you peeps aren't using your heads
The answer is obvious, isn't it?
Which storyline will be the subject of more TV ads?
Which one will more voters hear about?
Which one will be more effective?
It's over, peeps.
How many thousands has Corzine paid to Commonsensenj?
$ome $erious $ilver, I'm $ure. Did s/h get eighty-$even thousand like the good minister, or was it more? Maybe it was fi$ve-hundred thousand like Joe Ferriero? Did s/he get $ixteen million like good'ol Carla Ratz?
ITs OVER Johnny...Over
its over Johnny...OVER!!!
Gotta go. I could list the reasons, but we all know Christie is going to win.
Corzine is totally asleep, depressed, and out of touch.
out-of-staters
Someone needs to let Christie's out-of-state staffers down easy: when you are in a dead heat two weeks before the election, the Democrat in New Jersey will always pull it out on turnout.
Also, your candidate is losing steam, not gaining it. Wrong direction, folks. Over, and out.
Ominous Sign for a Democrat
A dead heat two weeks before election day is an ominous sign for a Democrat. No Republican in the last ten years has had ANY sort of lead in the polls at all in a NJ statewide race so soon before election day. When Corzine ran in 2005, he was crushing Forrester in every poll between June and November. Menendez carried every poll between September and November. Corzine is spending $20 million dollars and yet his ONLY hope for a victory is to make Chris Daggett's numbers go up (he realizes that with his own penchant for mediocrity wasn't enough to make voters like him).
