Environmental group will endorse Christie

The New Jersey Environmental Federation is expected to endorse Republican Christopher Christie for Governor at a news conference tomorrow in Trenton.  The organization backed Democratic Gov. Jon Corzine four years ago.

This is the second environmental organization to refuse to endorse Corzine: the Sierra Club is backing independent Christopher Daggett, a former state Environmental Protection Commissioner.

A third environmental advocacy group, Environment New Jersey, announced in August that they would not back a candidate for governor.
