About two-thirds of New Jersey voters (66%) have heard something about Christopher Christie giving a personal loan to a former federal prosecutor who worked for him. Of those who are aware of the Michele Brown loan, 43% say it is a legitimate campaign issue and 49% say it would be an unfair attack:

Independents (70%) and men (71%) have heard the most about the Christie/Brown financial transaction, while Democrats (62%) and women (60%) have heard the least. The Quinnipiac numbers suggest that the story received more attention in North Jersey than in the southern region of the state: Essex and Hudson (65%), Bergen, Passaic, Union, Middlesex and Mercer (65%), Morris, Somerset, Hunterdon, Sussex and Warren (70%), Atlantic, Ocean and Monmouth (69%), and Burlington, Camden, Gloucester, Salem, Cumberland and Cape May (59%)
More than seven out of ten (71%) of likely voters say they have heard about Gov. Jon Corzine's personal relationship with former CWA President-turned-radio host Carla Katz. Among those who are familiar with the Corzine/Katz relationship, 45% say it is a legitimate campaign issue and 47% say it is an unfair attack.
