wrong question
Governor, do you think you can win?
No fucking way!
Vote Column "A" - All the way!
That's odd...
That's the same response most resident's give when they see their property tax bill.
Corzine/Wineberg cannot win statewide: Irish Italian Catholic
statistical analysis, current polling numbers and attitudes towards current regime; and past election experience/victories and defeats are an excellent indicator of how the Vast Majority around the state are going to vote in November!
See ya back here on election day landslide.
Yayyyyyyy For Jon Corzine,,,,,,,
Screw the bosses.
As for the cheap shots from the anonymous fools who don't even have the courage to attach their own names to the nonsense the spew here; the fact that fools like you love Chris Christie is a good reason to believe he's going to lose.
When Jon Corzine decides to take off the gloves and recapture the "Semper Fi" spirit of the US Marine's that is in his bones; he will politically kick Christie's ass all over this state.
Christie is a hypocritical hack who got his job in DC because he paid for it with money raised for George Bush. That's ethically corrupt and it's just one of a number of such actions on his part.
All the US Attorney's who had any integrity under Bush were fired.....Christie was sufficiently ethically challenged to keep his job. That's not a record to be proud of.
Christie is just a another brash bully on a power trip......hell, he actually made Steve Lonegan look good in comparison at their debates.
Well said, Nick Lento.
Is it twisted to have wet dreams about a fictitious electronic character (Wally) whose gender isn't even known?
Who is this dude?
Who is this dude Lou Weinberg? Looks like the guy I had re-seal my driveway last week, only more masculine. He should grow a mustache.
corzine chrisie norcross
The ironic thing is I think Corzine would take on Norcross in term 2 so much more christie would....... lets not forget the many lunch meetings christie and norcross used to have in public until someone told christie he should keep those private.
Nick Lento - as far as
Nick Lento - as far as Christie goes, you hit the nail on the head.
As far as Corzine goes - He has no "Semper Fi" spirit of the US Marine's, In fact Corzine is a traitor to the American way of life and all the citizens of NJ. He disregards the Constitution that so many lost their lives to protect. Corzine does this to please his Wall Street buddies. Corzine is a gutless coward who should not even call himself an American much less a Marine.
NJ has no legitimate gubernatorial candidate. Time to move.
PLease move Russ
You're an ideologue and a racist...please move. Your redneck attitude would conform better elsewhere. Does anyone care that Weinberg is 73?
Corzine is a Marine in name--not attitude. A Marine would have the guts to say what he needs to, to a persons face. Corzine is a classic pussy---nice to your face and then talks behind your back.
For God sakes, he had someone else call Joe Doria and ask for his resignation. Corzine is an awful human being, who has bought his last office.
He cheated on his wife, he cheated on the citizens of NJ...he's a bad man who is rapidly running out of time and money.
Imagine if he ever wanted to win the election legit....110 million could have helped many worthy charities. Let's not forget the millions he threw around to buy the ministers off in the inner cities.
A Harsh String Of "Pearls" More Likely?
Heh!
Wally, given the string of obscentites that Corzine most likely really blurted out when Murph asked him about Norcross's "suggestion," you probably should have partially entitled this piece,
"Strong euphemism not deleted . . ."
by Trochilus
Lesser of 2 evils...
Those who point to issues re: CC have, perhaps, some legit basis for their comments. No one gets to be US Attorney without playing politics and it's a dirty game. But, CC did do a very effective job, much better than any other US Attorney or NJ Attorney General, to go after corruption in NJ. The monitor jobs he gave to others from the Justice Dept. is a red herring. There's nothing illegal or unethical about it. Corzine was in the Senate when others throughout the country were being awarded the similar deals and he never objected. - If nothing else, at least we should expect Christie to go after the corrupt people in public life. Corzine hasn't been able (or really tried) to move forward on any ethics reforms or corruption probes. You can't overlook the fact that he paid millions to a woman he only dated in what some news sources have called a "settlement". What claim(s) did he settle? Why did he also pay her family member off? What do they know about JC? Here's a guy who doesn't need the money and still can't keep his house in order. You have to believe his moral compass is way off center. - One of them is going to win. I think we give Christie a chance. We already know Corzine's plan: Tax us into extinction.
Will Corzine Win?
No "f'ing" way! As close as he was in the polls on Wednesday is as close as he'll come in the election.
"We are spending more than we have ever spent before and it does not work!"

If highly conncted Torricelli can be forced out...
If Corzine does not drop out, the party will have him indicted. They have the goods and the Katz e-mails. With jail time hanging over his head, dropping out does not look that bad.
I have been saying for 6 weeks he will not be on the ballot. The insiders are already busy forging the petition signatures with the blank candidate in the box.

Nice day outside
Why don't you guys take a break, you have 3 months of this sh&t left to fight about.
Rep Conscience...
YOu fail to undetstand Corzine's psyche. He is not leaving. no way. He is a Wall Street egomaniac. he could get indicted himself and he would not surrender. He will NEVER leave unless it is in a casket.
I do not get it!
Why would a desperate Gov. Corzine need help from a grand mother?
See Jon run
Please say you'll run, Jon Corzine. I have already seen road signs along Route 22 (by dissenting Democrats, I'm sure) calling for a write-in campaign for Dick Codey. It'll be Chris Christie, energetic contender with a proven corruption-busting record against the ho-hum, same-old, same-old ex-Goldman Sachs exec who did little more than sit holding the torch while in Trenton.
ImWithStupid
Do you rembember the "Offer He Can't Refuse" from the Godfather? They may tell him you can leave vertically or feet-first.
Torricelli can deliver the offer on behalf of the Democrati Family.

It is so obvious: Corzine handed the keys of the statehouse
and a map to Chris Christie when he picked Loretta Wineberg. Corzine wants at least to be remembered for that picking someone who is decent fundamentally but absolutely cannot win statewide and standing with him...Corzine is furious and finished with the Dems in NJ -the light bulb finally turned on in his head as he saw Doria's office in Trenton being raided and 44 questionable characters that most law abiding people would call sleazy being hauled out and handcuffed by the FBI
Corzines Dem buddy associates (Healey, Ferriero, Doria, Vega, Suarez) who played him as much he played them in their quest to help only their hack friends, pet er public service projects ...
For Corzine his primary cause was supporting the unions and members...and elected "dem public service officials" and survival of their fiefdoms...definitely not and certainly not: self made entrepreneurs or private practice and private sector enterprising professionals. Corzine should have developed patience, stayed in the senate and run again or for a prominent union president position but definitely not governor of the state of NJ. The likes of Pete Cammarano and his on FBI tape brazen behavior and he is in Corzines backyard...And he would niot have gotten as far as he has without Corzine, Codey and Cryan: Triple C bosses
On that note: President Obama should have stayed in the u.s. senate and run for u.s. senate again or president of the NAACP...President of the U.S. he is not up for that! Obama revealed his true colors at the press conference last week and I am glad he did. I'd rather know who someone is and what they are thinking and not their phony baloney front...Obama couldnt contain his opinions and deeply felt self Wrightgeous opinions about Professor Gates and the stupidity of Sargeant Crowley and the Boston police department...He stepped into it. Thank god...
For way too long Corzine and McGreevey have only represented a few in relation to the the vast majority of citizens...for all of the wrong reasons...empowering county bosses who are going to trial and or will be indicted in the future with their cronies...
low life gutter ball and totally disingenuous identity politics that uses the "little guy" to empower the lowest common denominator and laziest values and ethics...in the service of helping build the wealth and glory of isolated dem bosses and minions
has to stop.

Desperate Incumbent
Ever seen anyone collapse so completely after a historic national election...a majority in the state house...personally supported by the president...
A charlatan...
Got Class, Jon?
What class? I guess he was trying to seem strong with his word choice, he just sounds like a red neck idiot.
OE
A total #: 22 people watched the bluejersey.com live stream
of governor corzine and lg gov wineberg speeches from bergen pac englewood.
State Sen Loretta Wineberg said live,
"Sen Dick Codey I have your comments in support of me on tape!"
Did she mean that she taped Codey's comments??
Or did someone else get them on a wire? These days when dealing with Democrats from northern New Jersey, you never know.
Corzine's Gift To Norcross
Guess the promise of a $100 Million gift of a new medical school that Corzine presented to Norcross didn't exactly buy back Norcross' friendship!
Oh, and just for those who don't know... the gift is not being given with Corzine's personal funds....it's another bonding deal that's always backed with taxpayers dollars.
I Understand That Neither Candidate Is Perfect And ....
....that both are flawed.
However there is no comparison between Bush Republican Christie with all his baggage and a moderate to progressive Democrat who just hit a grand slam by picking Loretta Weinberg as LG.
Corzine has a long record on substance and has a real record of competent governance.
Frankly, he's been a better governor than a politician!
I believe Corzine is ready to take the gloves off and to commence to start kicking some ass. I believe his Semper Fi spirit is there and that it will emerge in this campaign!
As bad as things are now for many in New Jersey, they would only get far far far worse for those same people under Bush Repbulican Christopher Hypocrite Christie.
I can't wait to see lots of debates where the actual substance of issues and policies will be the topics of discussion.
Corzine, Moron!
He will get chewed up in a debate. he cannot string two sentences together without stammering. I hope they look further into his tenure at goldman and find out maybe he got the ball rolling in the early days of the financial meltdown.
Manners
Corzine has way too much of an ego to drop out. I could have told Murphy that long ago. But I'm glad I didn't because now there's just more heat on Corzine for making inappropriate comments. Corzine needs to learn some manners. And morals. Hopefully NJ sees that the person that a politician is says a lot about what kind of politician you can expect.
Norcross runs New Jersey
Why is Norcross telling Corzine to step down and puthis buddy Booker up for Govenor. We all want Corzine to step down, BUT who put Norcross in charge of New Jersey. This guy has been dictating for 30 years. Camden AND Gloucester County Suffer the worse under this mans leadership. I persume Norcross runs New Jersey and decides who gets what job and who gets hired and who gets fired. He protects his buddies and friends anyway he can. So many unemployed people. If you are not in with the click, you can forget working in South Jersey. He may even make a phone call and have you fired.
Don't count Corzine out...
He has lots of money and favors in his back pocket. Chrsitie isn't much better, and I'm sure he'll be almost as spineless as Corzine, but he's the better of two crappy candidates. And THAT is New Jersey's curse. We almost never get real choices. In either case, the hell we're going to have to pay is coming regardless of which clown runs the circus.
Corzine's accomplishments
Dems like to say how great a governor Corzine is, or that "Corzine has a long record on substance and has a real record of competent governance" (Nick Lento). I've heard others say similar things. What I love about it is that they make these very general comments but never give a solid example. Where is the Corzine lit that highlights these "accomplishments"?
Aspirations
Corzine may have had lofty aspirations as his inaugural address stated but somewhere he became contaminated by the 'toxic mix of money and politics' He is uncomfortable in his own skin and unsure of his ability to govern. Unfortunately he has surrounded himself with those that have aided in his own selfdestruction, the Katz family, Golding, Farber, Rabner,Milgram, Javier Inclan. He has demonstrated the inabilty to delegate effectively and has subjucated himself to the selfinterests of the NJEA and unions and party bosses.
In a sentence he cannot be allowed to continue. We cannot afford his brand of government
