Lesniak: 'Don't let the turkeys get you down'
By Wally EdgeYesterday was a tough day for some New Jersey Democrats and (and for Republicans in Ocean County) and State Sen. Raymond Lesniak (D-Elizabeth) is trying to refocus the energies of local elected officials and legislators in an e-mail entitled "Don't Let The Turkeys Get You Down."
From Lesniak:
We still have work to do.
The Economic Recovery Tour will soon be coming to your County and Legislative District creating tens of thousands of construction and permanent jobs and attracting billions of dollars of private investment.
The Economic Recovery Bill will also expand capacity, build dormitories, laboratories, classrooms and promote business investment and partnerships with our Universities and Colleges.
COAH reform will further spur economic growth, promote more affordable housing and relieve municipalities of unnecessary, ineffective and costly requirements.
Charter School initiative will bring Superstar Charter School providers to neighborhoods where the public schools have been constantly failing.
Race to the Top initiative will bring world class teachers to our public schools for math and science teaching.
Gangs, Drugs and Guns Out of Our Neighborhoods will attack the source of violence and killings in our communities.
Don't Let The Turkeys Get You Down.
