Randal Pinkett, who went to work for Donald Trump after winning Season 4 of The Apprentice, is receiving serious consideration to become the Democratic candidate for Lt. Governor, according to Democrats connected to Gov. Jon Corzine.   Corzine has been actively searching for an African American running mate.

Pinkett, a 38-year-old Rhodes Scholar who runs a Newark-based management, technology and policy consulting firm, joins State Senators Barbara Buono (D-Metuchen) and Loretta Weinberg (D-Teaneck) as the leading contenders to run with Corzine in November.  The Franklin Township resident is a graduate of Rutgers University and received a doctorate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.  He worked for General Electric, AT&T Bell Laboratories and Lucent Technologies before launching his own company and working for Trump's Atlantic City casino.

According to his website, Pinkett's firm "works with corporations, government agencies and nonprofit organizations in the areas of housing and community development, economic development, human services, nonprofit and community technology, healthcare and education."

Corzine could announce his LG candidate as early as next week, before President Obama attends a rally for the Corzine campaign at the PNC Arts Center in Holmdel.

ashcroft, gonzalez, mukasey, goodling,sampson,rove.....

The LG should be Passaic County Clerk, Karen Brown.

He's probably more qualified

He's probably more qualified to be Governor than Corzine or Christie.

All this speculation just smacks of desperation

And Corzine is a desperate candidate.

Can you say P-A-L-I-N?

Do not pick someone on the basis of his or her demographic, McCain. Do not do it.

Repeat after me:

"Voters want to see me pick the person BEST QUALIFIED to serve."

"Voters will consider the quality of my decision as an indicator of the caliber of my leadership."

38%

38% does a lot to make a candidate attempt a "hail mary".

When all else fails; turn to

When all else fails; turn to Hollywood! I guess Bon Jovi is on the short list too?

Jon..

"You're Fired."

Complete Joke.

Who dropped this guy on his head as a child? Is he kidding me? Can this be actually serious? How about Ivanka Trump for LG? How about some derelict from The Survivor reality show? If Corzine is this obsessed with running with a Black candidate, he has no business running at all. Pandering has hit an all-time low. Vote Column "A" - All the way!

OMG

Corzine KNOWS his azz is in big trouble and even the great nobama wont be able to save him; and if Diane Allen gets the nod, SHE is more credible and has more name rec than this clown!

Black in NJ - CNN Special

CNN – Black in American is a show that is hosted by CNN. We are interested in presenting a show to CNN called BLACK IN NEW JERSEY.

Using a black man from a TV Reality Show is a Joke. Is that the best you can do? Grow up Corzine, and stop using the RACE CARD. You can bring down Obama; put a Black man up for LG from a TV Reality Show (that’s a Joke) and you can even tell people your mother and father are really Black. You are still not going to get the black vote PERIOD. What part of racial discrimination don’t you understand? You have some serious racial problems in New Jersey. You need a REALITY CHECK and you need to get in touch with black people who carry the key to your election. Did you ever address the problem in Gloucester County with that prosecutor and did you address the many problems of racial disparity in South Jersey. NO! Perhaps the President, National NAACP and outside enforcement will.

Reality Show for LG - Report to the Boss

A guy from Trumps reality show for LG. Isn't Trump friends with Norcross.

Next time you do a Reality Show pick, choose Flava Flav.

You guys are not doing

You guys are not doing Pinkett justice. Forget poliitics for a second. This guy was an extremely successful businessman with solid credentials before Trump's show and would have continued that success even if the show never exisited.

Is he the most capable

Is he the most capable person in the state to serve as governor though, njp?
