Republican Kasko wins in Haddonfield

Republicans appear to have scored a rare victory in Camden County yesterday with the election of Jeffrey Kasko as a Haddonfield Town Commissioner.  The 44-year-old Kasko, the  GOP Municipal Chairman and a former Freeholder candidate, unseated incumbent Neal Rochford by just eleven votes.  Kasko's two running mates, former GOP Assembly candidate JoAnn Gurenlian and Sean Leonard, were unsuccessful in their bids to oust incumbents Tish Colombi and Ed Borden.  Leonard lost by 145 votes, and Gurenlian trailed far behind.

As the top vote getter, Colombi is expected to continue as Mayor.

Three incumbents were ousted in Audubon, where John Ward, Kurt Bicking and Bill Gannon defeated Chris Tassi, Bob Howard and Scott Warren.
