Rosemarie Williams, whose tumultuous seven years as a New Jersey Superior Court Judge included arrest, a suspension, and a censure, is among the contributors to former U.S. Attorney Christopher Christie's campaign for the Republican nomination for Governor. Gov. Jon Corzine did not reappoint Williams when her term was up in 2007.
Williams was suspended for three months after a 2000 incident where she had a fight with her then-boyfriend, a Mercer County Sheriff's officer twenty years her junior. She was also found to have come "dangerously close" to impersonating a police officer. She was arrested in 2006 on drunk driving charges, but received the minimum sentence - a $631 fine and the loss of her license for seven months - and a censure.
Williams contributed $100 to Christie.
