Lonegan supporter assembling full slates in South Jersey

An e-mail from a key supporter of Steven Lonegan, who opted out of competing for organizational endorsements in the race for the Republican nomination for Governor, sends a clear signal that the former Bogota Mayor may be assembling his own slates of candidate for the Legislature, Freeholder and State Committee in the June primary. 

"We must give Steve Lonegan good ballot position even if we fail to get the endorsements at these two conventions.    We can do that by getting other candidates to run for office, and then bracketing their names with Steve's," wrote Seth Grossman, a former Atlantic County Freeholder and Lonegan ally.  "If we don't do this, Chris Christie will have a full slate of candidates below his name, while Steve Lonegan will have no candidates with his name, and his name will be buried with losing candidates with no other bracketed candidates."

Grossman was arrested with Lonegan during a demonstration outside Gov. Jon Corzine's Town Hall meeting last year.  The arrest allowed Lonegan to seize the story of toll hike recommendations from the Governor.

Grossman says that he has already found Freeholder candidates in Atlantic and Cape May counties, and State Committee candidates in Atlantic, Camden, Cumberland, and Gloucester County.

I am Seth Grossman.  I am a lawyer in Somers Point, and I host an afternoon radio program on www.wibg.com 1020AM in Ocean City.   Steve asked me to help him in Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland, Camden, Gloucester, and Salem counties.

However, we must give Steve Lonegan good ballot position even if we fail to get the endorsements at these two conventions.    We can do that by getting other candidates to run for office, and then bracketing their names with Steve's.

If you would like to be a candidate for the vacant State Senate in the 6th Legislative District (Suburban Camden, Burlington Counties), you need 100 signatures on a nominating petition, and it must be filed by next Monday, April 6.

If you want to run for any of the 8 General Assembly seats in the counties south of Burlington County, please let me know.

We also need candidates for freeholder and State Committeeman and State Committeeman in each county.   Petitions for all of these offices need 100 signatures.   Please call me if you have any questions concerning the duties of these positions.   Again, the filing deadline is next Monday, April 6.

Before you submit your petition, you should also complete form to choose a slogan, "Conservative Republicans  -- Putting Taxpayers First", and to bracket your name with that of Steve Lonegan.

While you are getting signatures to qualify yourself for Republican State Committee, please also circulate Steve Lonegan's petition as well, so he can get more than 7,500 signatures.   This would demonstrate
 his popular support throughout the state.
