Dems pick candidates to challenge Addiego and Rudder

Burlington County Democrats are expected to support Evesham Councilwoman Debbie Sarcone and former Navy Seal Bill Brown for the State Assembly in the eighth district.  They would face two freshman Republicans, Dawn Addiego and Scott Rudder.

State Dems: Go after this seat

Addiego and Rudder are both beatable, and they are products of the Paulsen GOP machine. With a former Navy Seal and respected councilwoman as the Democratic candidates, I would recommend that state Dems inject cash into the campaign and fully support efforts to win these Assembly seats.

Watch out GOP

BurlCo Dems have done another terrific recruiting job. Debbie Sarcone and Bill Brown are great candidates and will serve honorably in the General Assembly. Republicans thought they had this one easy, check again.

Let me see

The Burlington County Dems could not find a Democrat to run so they are recycling disgruntled Republicans - again.

Worked real well with Fran Bodine in 2007 - he lost by 10,000 votes.

As I recall, Addiego and Rudder won by 5,000 votes against real Dems that same year after being out spent nearly 2:1.

Even last year - the worst election for Republicans in Burlington County since Watergate - the 8th District towns went overwhelmingly for the Republican candidates.

Nope - this is a Republican district - these two are Fran Bodine-light.

Very Interesting

does anyone find it interesting that the democrats have found better more qualified candidates then the current GOP hacks in office?

The GOP is in a sad state when the democrats find strong independent candidates to run that will appeal to Republicans, democrats and independents.

And what does the GOP come up with?? More of the same GOP party hacks who don't care about the residents.

Pathetic job by Layton and great work by the Democrats to find excellent candidates to challenge the GOP hacks.

Please

Debbie Sarcone? She is an embarrassment. Her well documented tantrums, lavish lifestyle and self-centered antics caused the Republican party to walk away from her. So what does Debbie do - she runs in a Republican primary and get soundly defeated.

So what does Debbie the opportunist do next? Switches parties to run in a party that had no other options.

The 8th District Democrat voters will not stomach not just one but two Republican opportunists running as Democrats - the voters of the 8th Dist are not as stupid as the Democrat leadership thinks they are.

Oh and a reminder - Chris Myers, Aubrey Fenton, Stacy Jordan, and Gary Woodend all won the 8th District last year during the worst year for Republicans since Watergate - there is no way two party switching opportunists can win during this anti-Corzine year.

DelusionalOne is back

And once again he/she spews nothing of importance. I can still recall someone caalling Dennison's campaign the best in the state. This was after he lied to authorities about a campaign worker's age and claiming that Allen has stolen his campaign signs. He/she then went on to say that Franny Bodine was a great candidate and would keep his seat. Hmmm - went well huh? Debbie Sarcone? Her campaiugn went well. Let's see how many more times she can run and fail. She is starting to become the Lyndon LaRouche of county politics. Keep clicking those heel Dorothy. Maybe some day you will return from Oz.

Sarcone and Bill Brown = the B-team

If the Democrats really wanted to win these seats, they would have run Evesham Mayor Randy Brown and Pemberton Mayor David Patriarca. Instead the Democrats settled on two nobodies with Sarcone and B. Brown.

Even Tracy Reilly would have been a better candidate than these two.

Thank you Mr. Perr for assuring Rudder and Addiego's Re-election.

Concerned?

Right off the bat the GOP hacks come out attacking two great public servants in Bill Brown and Debbie Sarcone. This proves the GOP is very worried about their chances in the 8th district this year.

Instead of talking about all the accomplishments of Addiego and Rudder (that would have taken up atleast a sentence or two) they immediately go after 2 qualified people who will do an excellent job serving the residents of the 8th district.

Addiego/Rudder are in trouble and they know it!

Hello?

I think she is Cuckoo for Coco Puffs!

Cuckoo Cuckoo

Cuckoo Cuckoo

Concerned?

Not at all. Poking fun at the Burlington County Democrats for their inability to find Democrats to run for Assembly - well that is just fun.

I remember well the major news stories of Fran Bodine party switching and Rob Andrews and John Adler standing behind Bodine with a pledge of millions of dollars and assured victory.

After the 10,000 vote loss they left Bodine to float aimlessly in the wind.

It did not work then with a sitting State Assemblyman and it will not work with a Sarcone-led team.

And what will happen then? Sarcone and Brown will have lost by huge numbers and Rick Perr will still be the Chair. Sucks for Sarcone and Brown - they just don't know it yet.

Wheres Fran?

Is he stuck on the golf course?

As they said in Lawrence of Arabia...

this is a sideshow of a sideshow. The important battle in Burlington County - this year and next year - is for freeholder, when Democrats have a chance to win the majority.

Q&A Time

What happens when nearly all the Democrats vote for the independent minded Brown and Sarcone?

What happens when many Republicans who support Brown and Sarcone switch columns and vote for them too?

Answer: Brown and Sarcone win! Addiego and Rudder lose.

Independent Sarcone and Brown?

More like swaying in the wind – who do you want me to be to win - kinda thing. Don't you think?

I mean - in Debbie's 4 years on council she has flipped alliances 6-7 times just to remain relevant.

Brown - don't know him but just the comment in the paper about switching candidate support based on a win/loss seems pretty shallow to me.

Regardless, with Corzine and Sarcone at the top of the ticket - why would the people in the 8th doing anything other then what they have always done - vote Republican.

The real losers here are Sarcone and Brown for not realizing they are being used. Just ask Fran Bodine...

You what is he most laughable point...

Didn't Sarcone run in the GOP Primary, last year, on a platform of transparency and ending backroom deals and candidate selection? So how is it that the Democrats haven't even had their convention yet and Sarcone is already the handpicked candidate of Boss Perr? Isn't this the type of behavior that Sarcone railed against?

Sounds like a classic case of practice what you preach.

These guys are toast and they don't even know it - let the games begin!

Addiego & Rudder Jokes

Horrible candidates that Paulsen never wanted in the first place!

An Iraq Veteran That Cares About NJ

Bill Layton asked me about running for Freeholder but I have chosen to run with the party that best represents the interest of all the families living in New Jersey and not just a few political insiders. -William Brown-

Really?

Because the party you're representing hasn't done anything for my family but make NJ too expensive and unfriendly to small business owners. What are you going to do about COAH and abbott school districts? Instead of talking about Bill Layton and your contempt for the GOP, tell us what you're going to do as an assemblyman. Sorry, I would probably take you seriously (only a little) if you weren't running with Deb Sarcone and didn't seem so self serving. Maybe you should have Carty run your campaign. What happens when you don't get your way as assemblyman in a democratic state? Are you going to be republican again?

Mr. Brown

I don't know who is guiding youand your campaign, but here is some free advice - don't engage the posters here. You will get the crap kicked out of you. You are going to lose not only the argument - thanks for the laugh by the way; Dems are the party which holds the interests of families in NJ - pure bullcrap. If taking taxpayer dollars out of the mouths of children to pad the pockets of Trenton insiders and programs that continually fail is good for families, then you need to stop smoking dope - you will also lose the election. Thank you for your service to our Country. I sincerely hope your veteran credentials are not attacked and maligned like YOUR party attacked Chris Myers.

I just heard this

Rumor has it Sarcone's top issue will be - opposing the Governor's ban on bikini waxes.

No more waxing Wednesdays!

take some of OC's advice

Dont post on here because its a bunch of hacks at GOP HQ that have nothing better to do then post when they are not making beer and food runs for fat Layton, fat Englund, midget Paulsen and pencil d&*k Russell.

I hear Layton can drink a case of Coors Light by himself!

Say what?

I don't work at GOP HQ. In fact, I have never been to Burlco Repub HQ. Nice try. What lies will you tell next? The world is flat? And who cares what someone drinks or how much? Just because you find it necessary to drink drinks that are foamy and pink and you are an angry drunk doesn't mean a thing - or does it?
