Bob Sommer will leave his post as president of Observer Media Group, the owner of PolitickerNJ.com, to become the president of a new company under the auspices of Devils owner Jeff Vanderbeek that will seek to promote the New Jersey Devils and their arena, the Prudential Center in Newark. A former principal at MWW, a public relations and lobbying firm, Sommer has been with the Observer since 2007. PolitickerNJ.com wishes him well and looks forward to his continued success.
His replacement is Christopher Barnes, the former publisher of amNew York. Barnes has considerable experience in the newspaper and online media areas.
