Catholic Bishop bars Whitman from speaking to students

This isn't about "choice", it's about abortion, which is the taking of a human life.

Whitman supports abortion up to and including the day of delivery, and made that enthusiastic support a key agenda item in her eight years as Governor. It's more than an issue, to her, it's a religion.

To Whitman, those who think abortion is murder should keep those views to themselves and out of the public arena. To her, there is no legitimacy to that point of view. That is why you don't see much of her these days. As they say, "no one wants to be photographed with her."

the Catholic Church is taking a stand.

Maybe Republicans will take a clue from this and realize they have to stop their pro-abortion liberal agenda promoting candidates from taking over the party because they cannot win without the support of Catholics. ... If Republicans want to win a statewide race they should stop promoting pro-abortion candidates and move to the Right (and stop their continued sprint to the Left).

Just remember, if abortion had been freely available back in 1961, Hillary Clinton would be the Democratic nominee.

1) Abortion is not murder, a cluster of cells that cannot sustain itself outside of a whomb is not a person.-Yes if you ask I would define any abortion performed on a fetus that could sustain itself outside of the mother's whomb to be murder (unless of course it is to protect the life of the mother, in case where their were rape or insest etc...)
2) The only thing can can declare it human life is if you believe it has a soul at conception-Science cannot in anyway prove that a soul exists therefore you cannot define a fetus as a human
3) Everyone who does define abortion as murder has a right not to have them, and even has the right to say what they believe
4) Those of us who rexpect a woman's right to chose have the same rights.
5) Every single nation that prides itself as a "player" in the world has abortion rights, and complete seperation of church and state. The United States is behind the curve on this.
6) Fundamentalism and dogmatic black and white reasoning is archaic and has no place at the table especially when it is religiously motivated. The founding fathers could have made Christianity the way of the nation and they didnt for a multitude of reasons

Every human being’s rights end where another human being’s rights begin. Abortion is an act of violence that brutally takes the life of a defenseless innocent child. This is the "choice" you say you "rexpect" (I think you meant respect) and support. 6. Kudos to Bishop Smith for objecting to having Christine Todd Whitman appear as a keynote speaker at a Catholic Institution's women's leadership forum. The Bishop has every right to express what he believes and he did that by ensuring that Whitman was uninvited.

Answer the questions, how many children have you fostered? How many children have you adopted? How many single moms on welfare have you supported? How many children without parents have you mentored? How many times have you said you wanted government out of your lives except in the doctors office or in the bedroom? You wear your freaking religion on your sleeve. Listen up kids - the eucharist should never divide!!!! GET IT????????!!!!!!!!! Get it GOP, stop the infighting. Stop the bashing. You can't respect the pro-choice members of your party, then take a hike dudes. Whitman is a former GOP governor. You don't know about agreeing to disagree. Ronald Reagan would kick your butt. Your never going to win with your way of exclusion. You friggin answer the questions before you talk about a womens right to choose. It's about time people stood up to you. Are you saying that Barack Obama's mother would have aborted Barack if she had the choice back in 1961?
