ashcroft, gonzalez, mukasey, goodling.....

I voted for Dana Redd because should be in Congress. I know damn well if Dana said "I'm not doing it." She means it and would not go back on her word. Case closed.

Dick Codey

His seat will no longer exist after redistricting.

Are you kidding me?

The Dems will never eliminate a democratic seat. They will erase a republican district.

Possibilities

Mountaintop-
Do you think with a GOP map that the western edge of Codeys seat, (Fairfield, the Caldwells) would end up in Kevin O'Toole's district?

I think even more likely is Girgenti's seat to go. Right now, with declining population and a divided population, the 35th is unsustainable. I could see Hawthorne ending up in the 38th (where I think Gordon could beat Girgenti in a primary), the 40th (where Girgenti would be the strongest Democrat in history but still lose to O'Toole or Rumana), or continue to be in a Paterson district where a minority Democrat might finally beat him.

The problem is, to create a suburban Democratic district in Passaic, where do you put Paterson?

It's Simple...

Adler will be in Congress.

Democrats do not control redistricting

When Florio was Governor, the "neutral" member picked the Republican plan. When Whitman was Governor, the "neutral" member picked the Democratic plan. The 2001 redistricting was so partial to the Democrats that even a partisan Democrat can't preserve 23 Democratic Senators, and that's if they get their plan.

When it comes to protecting minority Democratic seats or white Democratic seats, who do you think is going to win that battle? The inner city Democratic seats in Essex have to expand, pushing Codey and O'Toole into a suburban, generally Catholic and Republican district. Replace Orange with Cedar Grove and Verona and you'll see.

Paul Sarlo

Whether he loses re-election or he's hauled away in cuffs, I think his days are numbered.

The safest on this list is Nick Sacco. Ol' Slick Nick ain't going anywhere until he damn well pleases.

This poll is entertaining, but

There are too many choices; it looks more like a Republican Gubenatorial Primary Race.

This poll should be run like a survivor, in fact shouldn't primaries be run like that?  Shouldn't the nominee be required to get 50% + 1 votes of his or her own party's votes to get the nomination?

Start demanding from your State Senators and Assemblypersons Primary run-off elections for legislature seats and governorships.
