Seeking to avoid any connection to indicted Bergen County Democratic Chairman Joseph Ferriero, Barack Obama's New Jersey presidential campaign won't use the Bergen County Democratic headquarters this fall -- a high tech operation that includes over 100 telephone lines. At a meeting of the party's Executive Committee earlier this week, U.S. Rep. Steven Rothman, the Chairman of Obama's state campaign, announced that fifth district congressional candidate Dennis Shulman's Wyckoff headquarters will be used instead. That's a slightly different message than the one coming from Obama state campaign director Tricia Mueller, who has told Bergen Democrats that they would be based out of the Carpenter's Union hall in Hackensack. Mueller was a political operative for the Carpenters before joining the Obama campaign.

BCRO/Ortiz
Didn't the dems raise the issue of the BCRO being used for Rudy Guliani stuff but a Union Hall came be used for Obama stuff? Will they be reporting as an inkind contribution?
More of the same from Barry Hussein
Obama is sounding like a broken record...as soon as one of his mentors, supporters, donors and/or friends have legal and/or ethical problems he reads the same script from his teleprompter....
"Thats not the (FILL IN NAME OF METOR, SUPPORTER, DONOR AND/OR FREIEND) that I used to know!"
Tainted money.
The Obama/Biden campaign should return all donations from New Jersey corrupt politicians including money fundraised by Chairman Ferriero and the BCDO. Sen. Clinton campaign should do the same.
Barack Milhouse Obama
will he ask for Ferrieros resignation ? Or will he wheel up tainted money from Hudson, Union and Camden.?
Obama wins NJ
Obama must be writing off New Jersey believing it is an easy win. I can not think of any other reason he would tell the Democratic Org. in largest county in NJ to screw off. It has always been said that the BCDO is the best at getting out the vote, part of what gave ferriero his power. i guess they figure they don't need them. I can't imagine this makes the bergen establishment, including Loretta Weinberg very happy.
Lorettas fault
the record said Loretta demanded that Obama not use (plus rothman) the BCDO resources unless Ferrerio was out.
If that is the case then
If that is the case then Weinberg should come out and say it publicly. I can not believe that after everything we read last week about Democrats being united until after election day in bergen we are now hearing that really it was a sham. Loretta should be ashamed of herself if she is putting her own personal political interests above the interests of the Obama campaign and potentially the interests of an entire country. Both her and Rothman should become independents because they are not acting like Democats and clearly don't care about the party.
Sorry Not the Record
this was what was published on a blogger site.
Last year, Loretta Weinberg called the BCDO a “dysfunctional family” when Boss Joe Ferriero called a truce and backed her for re-election to the Senate. She accepted the endorsement, because she said: “we Democrats always pull together in the end.”
Well, maybe not -- at least not when it doesn’t directly benefit her.
In the insane asylum that is reported to be the BCDO these days, Loretta the Great (a former staffer at Bergen Pines…hmmm) is reprising her role of Nurse Ratched from the 1970s, with her take no prisoners, punish at all costs, sadistic style.
Here’s the story:
The Obama campaign is paying rents all over that state for county headquarters. In Bergen County, the well-heeled BCDO is offering free offices and 135 phone lines at no charge. The BCDO’s 1100 county committee members who are the Party Organization say it is their responsibility to use their headquarters space and assets to support all Democrats.
Wowa! Not so fast says Nurse Loretta. Weinberg has reportedly called the Obama campaign and threatened that if they dare use the BCDO offices and phones against her will, she will hold a press conference and blast them for their connections to County Chair (who isn’t even there).
This is how Weinberg thinks the Bergen Democrats are going to pull together to elect Obama? As always, she’s the GOP’s best friend.
President McCain is sounding more and more real to us. We’ll keep you posted.
Nice "Story" Vin....
