One Man, On One Mission!
One man, on one mission, unifying one great city can perhaps best describe North Ward Councilman, Anibal Ramos. In recent months, I had the opportunity to present many problems to our councilman here in the North Ward and to my surprise he answered everyone without any objections or any stipulations. As many of you know here in Newark that is very unusual! As a matter of fact in my very own experiences that is unheard of! In one of our meetings confronting crime here in the North Ward, I had asked that more police be put out near the city subway on Bloomfield Ave. where there had been a murder and numerous other incidents that were ongoing. Ramos directed the Newark police captain to follow through on my request for NJ Transit cops to be involved and to e-mail me so we could work together on the matter- within 3 days I had been contacted by an NJ transit captain letting me know of his willingness to work on the matter. At which point, I noticed a significant drop off in people congregating near the city subway and NJ Transit police being placed their at important times when needed. At one school, in the North Ward, cars were being stolen and broken into at an alarming rate Ramos worked with the community and asked the Captain to have police their more often. I can honestly say that I saw a bigger police presence and a drop off in some of those crimes. When it comes to our children here in the North Ward, I can also say that Ramos is right on task. When we wanted to have something nice for a large population of students here in the North Ward he was on board from the beginning . Ramos support was constant and unconditional for our Renaissance Carnival! These are only a few items that stand-out, but for me he has been there and is a stand-out person himself. It certainly seems that councilman Anibal Ramos is truly here to serve the people of his ward and the fact that so far he has moved in altruistic manner is only a added benefit. As far as the city as whole I believe he realizes his role will be important on a city-wide basis and says on his website,"While I represent the North Ward, I’m dedicated to ensuring that all residents get the most from the municipal services that are available to them."
There is no doubt that Ramos' role in this city will increase and one day lead this city and bring about great change!

You guys love Cory Booker
And that's why he should run Obama's NJ campaign. I know he's busy. But what is it, four months? Come on. I went to a meeting of my local democratic club because I was hosting a Unite For Change event, and all they could talk about was "Is Corey Booker Coming?" I was amazed. Old, white ladys wanted to know if Corey Booker was coming. (Disclaimer: my grandmother is an old white lady)
I'm telling you they love this guy. Corey would not have to do the heavy lifting, but he might need a helo. Come on Corey. Newark wouldn't be mad at you. I think!
Well it seems that ol Cliffy
Well it seems that ol Cliffy Minor is not gonna make the cut. No votes here on the survey. It's Corey vs Ramos. Good try by Steve to split the votes amongst the blacks but that does not seem to be working. Now you need to go to plan B Steve.

I guess we will wait and see...
I only hope that voters actually take the time to review the different ideas and proposals that each of the candidates brings. cat diarrhea
