A new Monmouth University/Gannett New Jersey poll shows Barack Obama is most popular than Hillary Clinton in New Jersey, even though Clinton beat Obama by ten percentage points in the state’s February 5 Democratic primary. Obama has a 58%-27% favorable rating, while Clinton is at 46%-43%. And by a 45%-38% margin, more New Jersey and Democrat-leaning independents say that would rather see Obama capture the Democratic presidential nomination.
“It appears that less than three months after giving Hillary Clinton a 10 point victory in the state’s primary, some New Jersey voters feel buyer’s remorse,” said poll director Patrick Murray. “Many state Democrats are concerned that the prolonged battle could hobble their party’s eventual nominee in November.”
In a general election contest, Obama leads John McCain in New Jersey, 56%-32%, while Clinton leads McCain by a 52%-38% margin.

This is a problem for
This is a problem for Republicans. The Democrats do not have a candidate, yet whoever it is they beat a known candidate in McCain. I guess the fundraiser being hosted later in May by the "NJ big shots" will surely be one of the few times that we will see McCain in the Garden State.
sorry
hate to do it but "Obama is most popular than Hillary Clinton"?
anyhow, it makes sense, no democrat wants to see this election go on any longer than it already has. hillary had her chance, she didnt compete in a lot of small states and let obama build the lead he now has. i understand her desire to keep running, but eventually she'll have to face reality. the sooner she cools her jets and tones down the rhetoric, the better off the party will be.
Iffy On This Poll..
Considering that just one month ago that Obama led by 5% in one Poll, while McCain led Obama by 1% in another, the head to head Obama v. McCain matchup seems like an aberration rather then a solid trend.
I'd have to see another poll that follows this trend..it's too much of a jump in too short of a time to really believe. The polling MU usually does is pretty solid, so maybe the sample was just wierd.
Democrats are tired of desperately seeking Hillary!
Did anybody tell it to Ferriero?
Don't count the lady out!
Everytime you guys have stuck a fork inHillary she pulls it out of her chest and keeps on rolling! Hillary is going to the convention with both guns blazing.
Friends of Bill and Hill??
Let's start another news cycle - "Close Felons of the Clintons." Hillary has no pastor or church unless it proves advantageous for her. Let the media take a look at the Clinton's associations and credibility. Now we find out that she has roots in most states although they both lived on public housing for most of their careers. It's the same old politics of the past - promise everything; deliver nothing.
