VASQUEZ & BUONO LAUNCH MEDIA BLITZ
Cable ads highlight $12,000,000 Increase in Property Taxes and
DAWN’S NO-SHOW JOB
Today Democratic Candidates for Freeholder Amy Vasquez and Dean Buono launched a media blitz to send voters the message: Amy and Dean will lower property taxes so that residents actually see a reduction in taxes on their tax bill.
The ad campaign also points to the fact that the all-Republican Freeholder Board raised taxes by over $12,000,000 this year, an 11% increase since last year. It also shows that Dawn Marie Addiego did not have to the courage to stand up for the people of Burlington County, but instead skipped out on the vote on the county budget in order to attend a photo-opportunity
“Could there be a more important vote for a freeholder than voting on the county budget? Dawn did not vote, oppose or challenge the budget that raised taxes in 32 out of the 40 towns in Burlington County, Vasquez stated. “She was a no-show for the most important vote of the year. Her absence and unwillingness to oppose the tax increase amounts to nothing less than malfeasance.
“We have listened to voter after voter, profiled overtaxed town after town, week after week. Property taxes have increased because Dawn Addiego did nothing for them. Now she manipulates facts because she must be desperate for votes, Buono stated. “The people need true representatives, not smoke and mirrors politics.
“When elected, we will lower taxes by cutting wasteful spending. It is time that we put a stop to the rubber stamp freight train that runs through Mt. Holly. This type of mentality must end as Dean and I fight to overhaul county government so that it runs effectively and efficiently, Vasquez stated.
“Dawn has viciously attacked me during the past months by running ads and sending mailers that mislead and misrepresent the truth. She must have no record to run on. We are only relying on the truth, as many residents already know after taking one look at their tax bill, Vasquez stated.
Amy and Dean have proposed many positive initiatives as part of their platform. For more information, log onto www.amyvasquez.com .
