FENTON DECLARES THAT LOWERING PROPERTY TAXES IS “CRIMINAL ACTIVITY
Spending Will Continue to Grow Out of Control with Fenton
For the last two nights at public debates throughout the county, Republican Freeholder candidate Aubrey Fenton has declared that lowering taxes would be a criminal activity. This ludicrous statement came as part of the GOP fancy footwork defense to raising taxes by more than $12,000,000 this year alone. Apparently, Dawn Addiego and Aubrey Fenton will say anything in an attempt to escape responsibility for the 11% increase in taxes at a time when ratables are on the rise.
Amy Vasquez and Dean Buono will lower property taxes by cutting wasteful spending. In every contract they have reviewed, they have discovered wasteful spending that would save taxpayers hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars. Amy and Dean believe that taxpayers deserve for their money to be used wisely, not wastefully.
Just by asking for the fleet operations budget, Amy and Dean were notified of a cancellation of a $25,000 requisition. And what about the $96,000 discretionary fund the freeholders have allotted to themselves? What about the $40,000 in self-serving commercial advertisements the freeholder produced featuring themselves? What about $185,000 in broker fees awarded to their political ally for handling the Benecard contracts? What about the savings the county would have made had a lower bidder like had Blue Cross/ Blue Shield or Oxford Health been chosen over Forrester’s drug company Benecard? What about the hundreds of thousands of dollars the freeholders should demand be returned from State Senator Martha Bark for her no-show contracts with the Bridge Commission?
These questions are just the tip of the iceberg. Dawn did not have the courage to stand up for a decrease in taxes as she skipped out on the vote to attend a ribbon cutting ceremony. Aubrey will not stand up for lower taxes as he believes it would be a crime. Amy and Dean are true leaders who stand up for what is right. Amy and Dean will lower taxes so that it actually shows on the tax bill.
