TRANSPORTATION CHAIRMAN LEADS WAY ON ‘INFORMATION SUPERHIGHWAY’
WISNIEWSKI LOOKS TO CONNECT WITH CONSTITUENTS VIA INTERNETÂ
SAYREVILLE -- Assemblyman John S. Wisniewski of New Jersey’s 19th Legislative District officially launched his new interactive website at www.AssemblymanWisniewski.com.
Â
Wisniewski, who is Chairman of the Transportation and Public Works Committee, said he wanted to create a website that is not only informative, but also interactive to better provide constituents with much of the information they frequently request.
Â
“Legislators now have the ability to connect and communicate with their constituents in new and exciting ways. I hope this website becomes a tool that residents of the 19th district use regularly,â€? Wisniewski said.Â
Â
In addition to a biography, recent news coverage, and information about the committees Wisniewski sits on, the site allows constituents to find answers to frequently asked questions. In a section called “Virtual Resource Center, residents can find information about the Motor Vehicle Commission, Tax forms, NJ Family Care, Senior citizen services in addition to others. (http://www.assemblymanwisniewski.com/help)
Â
Wisniewski’s Legislation page (www.assemblymanwisniewski.com/legislation) gives constituents the ability to view bills that he has sponsored since first being elected to the Assembly in 1996.
“I wanted to give those that have elected me a resource to be able to see that I am fighting for the causes they have told me are important to them, whether big or small,â€? Wisniewski said.Â
The website also gives constituents the ability to get involved with Wisniewski’s upcoming November re-election with a “Virtual Campaign section that allows people to volunteer and reach voters through the internet. Supporters can sign up for weekly campaign updates, volunteer opportunities, write letters to the editor and during the campaign they will be able to utilize a function which enables supporters to email television appearances & Direct Mail to their friends and family.
Â
Visitors to the site can contact Assemblyman Wisniewski with questions and concerns by emailing him at JohnW@AssemblymanWisniewski.com.
