ASSEMBLYMAN WISNIEWSKI ON MONDAY’S GOP MEETING

ASSEMBLYMAN WISNIEWSKI ON MONDAY’S GOP MEETING

(TRENTON) – Assemblyman John Wisniewski (D-Middlesex) released the following statement after Monday’s Assembly Republican gathering:

“It’s laughable that this partisan sideshow once again failed to discuss legislation that would, for instance, tackle whether law enforcement officials should use their public positions for political gain while squandering taxpayer dollars on luxurious travel.

“I also find it odd that the panel failed to discuss whether taxpayers would appreciate lifting travel restrictions that have saved taxpayer money in recent years.

“Then again, circuses are purely for entertainment, so I guess we shouldn’t be surprised these Assembly Republican confabs are so out of touch with the public’s concerns.

“Assembly Democrats have taken real action, enacting numerous new laws to improve ethics and combat wasteful spending, including eliminating dual office holding, reforming county politics, restricting pay-to-play, stripping pensions from corrupt officials and creating a comptroller to uncover abuses.

“By contrast, when Republicans controlled the Legislature they just about did nothing on ethics and wasteful spending. Their deathbed conversion and clamor for reform rings hollow. Had they been truly serious, they would have enacted reforms years ago.”

Say no to Christie and Corzine. Vote Daggett

Don't by that GOP non-sense that Daggett is a plant funded by Corzine.

Fact is Daggett has no funds at all.

Futhermore, Chris Daggett nailed Christie and Corzine for corruption in 3rd Debate

You really have to hand it to Chris Daggett. Not only did he stand toe to toe with Jon Corzine and Chris Christie he really nailed it to them in the 3rd NJ  Gubernatorial Debate. Once again, for the third time in a row, I give this as a notch for Daggett.

Chris Daggett handed it to both Christie and Corzine for corruption saying to fight corruption you need to lead by example.

Daggett then cited specific corrupt activities that Christie and Corzine had engaged in, including illegal campaign finance and pay to play, and neither Corzine or Christie could defend themselves.

Instead, Corzine acknowledges that activity is going on and agrees with Daggett that it needs to stop.
