GUSCIORA PRAISES PROGRESS OF NEW JERSEY OFF-SHORE WIND FARM
(TRENTON) - Assemblyman Reed Gusciora (D-Princeton), the Assembly Commerce and Economic Development Committee chairman, issued the following statement on the release of leases for three off-shore wind projects:
"I commend Governor Corzine and the Obama Administration for their teamwork that has helped to propel New Jersey to the forefront of the nation's environmental efforts.
"These offshore wind projects will help to advance New Jersey's goals of making clean and renewable energy a reality.
"During the current global economic crisis, the creation of three off-shore wind projects also will stimulate New Jersey's economy by creating new green jobs for residents and boosting economic growth along New Jersey's coastal areas.
"These offshore wind initiatives will be a catalyst for environmental sustainability and economic growth and along with other Democratic initiatives position New Jersey to thrive once the economy rebounds.."
