STENDER TO HOST AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION’S 'GO RED FOR WOMEN DAY’ TO PREVENT HEART DISEASE 

(TRENTON) – Assemblywoman Linda Stender (D-Union) on Thursday will lead the American Heart Association’s “Go Red for Women Day” to promote awareness and action against the number one killer of American women - heart disease.  

The event is part of the association’s national campaign to combat heart disease and will offer the public free blood pressure screenings and demonstrations on how to use automated external defibrillators to prevent heart attacks.            

The free event will be held from noon to 2p.m. Thursday in Room 109 at the Statehouse, West State Street, Trenton.  


The event also will also feature - at 12:30 p.m. - survival stories of women living with heart disease.
