Palmer of Trenton, and Mayor Robert Bowser of East Orange today joined the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence President Paul Helmke in praising the New Jersey State Legislature for passing the “One Handgun A Month” bill through both the Senate and the Assembly.

NEW ANALYSIS: ASSAULT RIFLE BAN WOULD ENHANCE RIGHTS OF BATTLEFIELD RE-ENACTORS

Nonpartisan Study Finds Bill Also Would Protect Inheritance Rights and Hunting Guns

(TRENTON) – Assemblyman Reed Gusciora today announced a new analysis has confirmed his legislation to ban .50-caliber assault rifles in New Jersey would enhance the rights of battlefield re-enactors while protecting heirs and hunters.

The bill (A-2116) would make New Jersey the second state to ban the sale of .50-caliber rifles - fearsome battlefield-style weapons available for purchase at New Jersey gun shops by anyone who possesses proper identification and passes a simple background check.
