CATHERINE BARRIER & SALIM NATHOO FOR STATE ASSEMBLY

17-DISTRICT ASSEMBLY CANDIDATES CATHERINE BARRIER & SALIM NATHOO ASK: CHIVUKULA & EGAN, ARE YOU DEDICATED TO SERVING THE PUBLIC OR TO "LOOTING" FROM THE PEOPLE--FOR YOUR OWN BENEFIT AND ADVANCEMENT?

(SOMERSET, NJ) -- New Jersey has a long-standing tradition that works to the
detriment of its people: the dual office holding of far too many elected
officials. Indeed, the record shows that, in 2005, there are over a dozen State
Senators and Assembly Members holding dual office, and these are Democrat
officials. This means these individuals are "double-dipping" into the
taxpayers'-funded pension system and grasping at as much power as possible,
rather than working diligently for the good of the people. Assemblymen Upendra
J. Chivukula and Joseph V. Egan are among these.

Barrier and Nathoo for State Assembly

ASSEMBLY CANDIDATES CATHERINE BARRIER & SALIM NATHOO CHALLENGE INCUMBENT OPPONENTS TO TOWN HALL DEBATES IN EACH OF DISTRICT 17'S TOWNS: FACE THE PEOPLE & ANSWER THEIR QUESTIONS

This morning (9/27), 17th-District GOP Assembly candidates Catherine Barrier and Salim Nathoo sent a letter (see below) challenging the incumbent assemblymen to six (6) town hall-like debates throughout the district--one in each of the six (6) towns district wide. Barrier and Nathoo made these statements: "The present government in Trenton is out of touch with the people of New Jersey, and that has got to change," said Barrier. "Elected officials should have no reluctance to get face-to-face with their constituents--to find out what's important to the people--and Salim and I hope that Mr. Egan and Mr. Chivukula will agree to these debates."
