WASHINGTON - Today, U.S. Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ) announced that the New Jersey Transit Corporation has been awarded $1,092,821  for the final phase and completion of the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail Project’s, the innovative New Jersey Rail project that will connect the communities of Bayonne, Jersey City, Hoboken, Weekhawken, Union City and North Bergen, funded by a mixture of state and federal funds. A remaining and final installment of $11,000 will be awarded in the fiscal year 2010.
