HILLSBOROUGH,NJ, July 13, 2007-Democratic Candidate for the 16th Assembly District, William Kole, is calling for a full forensic accounting of the financial management of the Somerset County Parks Commission. Mr. Kole is calling into question the lack of fiscal oversight of the Somerset County Parks Commission by the Somerset County Board of Chosen Freeholders. Mr. Kole is also questioning the commitment of Freeholder Deputy Director Denise Coyle for accountability to the taxpaying public. Ms.

Ocean County Republican Chairman George Gilmore will serve as New Jersey Chairman of Rudy Giuliani's campaign for the 2008 Republican presidential nomination, and Senate Minority Whip Thomas Kean, Jr. will serve as Honorary Chairman. Campaign Co-Chairs will include former Congressman Bob Franks, State Senator Diane Allen, former state Transportation Commissioner Roger Bodman, former state GOP Vice Chairwoman Candy Straight, along with Republican County Chairmen Mike Warner of Burlington, David Von Savage of Cape May and Dale Florio of Somerset. Also serving as a Co-Chair is Steve Klinghoffer, a leader of the North Jersey Jewish community.

Giuliani has the endorsements of eleven of 21 Republican County Chairmen, nine of eighteen Republican State Senators, twelve GOP members of the State Assemby, and over 300 Republican elected officials and party leaders.

Jack Ciatarelli, a former Raritan Councilman who now lives in Hillsborough, won the endorsement of the Somerset County Republican Organization for a seat on the Board of Freeholders. He beat Montgomery Councilman Mark Caliguire and three other candidates for the seat of Kenneth Scherer, who is not seeking re-election to a fourth term. Ciatarelli won on the first ballot.
