The two candidates for State Senate in the eighth district have touted endorsements from the other party: Republican-turned-Democrat Francis Bodine has Sean Kennedy, the former Executive Director of the Burlington County Republican Committee, and Republican Phil Haines has former Pemberton Democratic Municipal Chairman Nando Avila, who was the Chief of Staff to ex-State Senator Catherine Costa.

Richard Levesque, who served as Political Director of Doug Forrester's campaign for Governor, will become the Executive Director of the powerful Burlington County Republican Organization on December 1. Levesque will succeed Sean Kennedy, who has taken a position with Maser Engineering.

Today Democratic Candidate for Burlington County Freeholder Amy Vasquez filed suit for defamation of character after repeated vicious and deceptive personal attacks have been launched against her by the Burlco GOP.

“It is shameful that Dawn and Aubrey have resorted to such disgraceful campaign tactics. I am proud to have led a clean and honest campaign based solely on the issues,� Vasquez stated.
