In response to Governor Jon Corzine’s proposed $812 million in budget cuts which he announced today, Assemblyman Scott Rumana and Assemblyman David Russo, both R-Passaic, Bergen and Essex,  issued the following statement:

RUMANA NAMED 'LEGISLATOR OF THE YEAR' BY BUILDER'S ASSOCIATION

Assemblyman Scott Rumana was named “Legislator of the Year” today by the Building Officials Association of New Jersey in recognition of his efforts in opposing the state’s recently enacted Council on Affordable Housing (COAH) rules, specifically a new tax on commercial development.

AMODEO AND RUMANA'S SENIOR LABOR TASK FORCE BILL ADVANCES

RUMANA SAYS PATERSON SCHOOL ANNEX DELAYS THE SAME OLD STORY

Assemblyman Scott Rumana today said the primary reason the Paterson School 24 Annex construction project, under the auspices of the Schools Development Authority (SDA), is overrun with cost delays is because the Corzine Administration failed to hold accountable officials of the SDA’s predecessor, the Schools Construction Corporation (SCC), for the gross mismanagement of State funds.
