County Democratic Candidates Win Primary Nod

MONMOUTH COUNTY – Beverly Bova Scarano, Barbara McMorrow, and Lenny Inzerillo, candidates running for County Surrogate and two seats on the Board of Chosen Freeholders respectively, ran unopposed in Tuesday’s Primary Election. The team, working together for some time already, now takes to the campaign trail as the official Democratic Party candidates. All three expressed their appreciation and thanks for those who voted in Tuesday’s election. The candidates look forward to a substantive, issue-based campaign and intend to seriously question the incumbents’ abilities to lead this county ethically, responsibly, and effectively.

Beverly Bova Scarano, candidate for County Surrogate, lives in Middletown Township with her husband Lynn and her daughter Christine. Beverly graduated from Middletown Township High School in 1960 and has lived in Middletown ever since. She served as a Peace Corps volunteer after which she received her real estate license and has been working as a real estate agent ever since. She is a lifetime member of the Middletown Reformed Church as well as a member of the Monmouth County Association of Realtors.

Barbara J. McMorrow, candidate for County Freeholder, a semi-retired Howell High School principal, currently lives in Freehold Township with her husband Patrick. Barbara graduated from Monmouth University and subsequently received a Masters of Arts in Teaching and a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education. She was a Teacher of English at Howell High School in 1971 and since has served at that school as the Supervisor of English, the Assistant Principal, and finally as Principal of Howell High School.

Lenny Inzerillo, also a candidate for County Freeholder, has lived in Middletown with his wife Renee and children Matthew and Kerri Ann for 16 years. He served on the Middletown Board of Education from 2002-2005. He graduated from Emerson High school in 1969 and then attended Rutgers University where he studied Public Sector Labor Management. Beginning in 1981, Lenny has worked as a Firefighter with the North Hudson Regional Fire & Rescue and in 1996 he became the President and owner of Lenco Mortgage Group.
