Unemployment Continues to Rise While State Sheds More than 12,000 jobs

Assembly Republican members Mary Pat Angelini and Dave Rible, both R-Monmouth, issued the following statement today in response to the latest data from the state Department of Labor and Workforce Development which shows New Jersey’s unemployment rate for September climbed for the 20th consecutive month to 9.8 percent while the state lost another 12,700 jobs. The state’s unemployment rate, its highest since April 1977, matches the national rate.
