If Adler wins, who gets Judiciary Chair?

If John Adler wins his race for Congress, his State Senate seat will almost certainly go to Louis Greenwald, a seven-term Assemblyman who has been looking to move up. Greenwald’s Assembly seat will likely (though not definitely) go to a Democrat from Cherry Hill.

This would trigger two insider legislative contests of considerable significance: who would replace Adler as Chairman of the State Senate Judiciary Committee, and who would follow Greenwald as Assembly Budget Committee Chairman? And will South Jersey Democrats have a problem giving up these two ultra-powerful leadership posts to colleagues from the North?
