Pallone Troubled by Christie-Ashcroft Deal

Today, in response to news reports about former Attorney General John Aschroft being hand picked by U.S. Attorney Chris Christie as federal monitor in a medical implant case, Congressman Pallone sent the following letter to Christie calling for more transparency and safeguards against abuse of deferred prosecution agreements. Ashcroft and his firm stand to collect over $52 million as federal monitor in this case.
