Glading Asks Democrats for Their Votes on June 3

Glading Asks Democrats for Their Votes on June 3

Democrats should write in
Glading for Congress on June 3;
Glading only candidate
actively campaigning to represent them

BARRINGTON – Dale Glading, candidate for U.S. Congress in New Jersey’s 1st District, is asking Democrats throughout the district to write him in on their ballots for Tuesday’s primary election.

When endorsing Dale Glading for Congress, The Philadelphia Inquirer called the Democrats’ scheme to run Camille Andrews as a placeholder candidate “atrocious.” (“Editorial: N.J. First District Primary,” The Philadelphia Inquirer, May 23, 2008)

In protest, they encouraged Democrats to “write-in another candidate of their choice” as the “best alternative” to the machine politicians and unqualified candidates on their ballot.

As the only candidate running to represent every constituent in the 1st District, Democrats should write in Dale Glading for Congress on their ballots June 3.

The machine-selected candidate, Camille Andrews, previously told reporters that she is running to “do what's best for the party.” (“Andrews' wife hints at 'placeholder' role,” The Courier-Post, April 9, 2008)

In contrast, Dale Glading is running to do what is best for the people of South Jersey, not the machine politicians. That is why Dale Glading is asking Democrats to write in his name on their ballots on Tuesday, June 3.

Election ‘07

When the sponsors of "clean elections" made their pitch to the Legislature, they averred that same would drive the polluting influence of "special interest" influence from campaigns.  Having now completed two "clean elections" cycles, the results prove the system to be a costly failure meriting its expeditious consignment to the ash heap of history.

Clean Elections and Democrats in Bergen County

Local primaries within the Democratic Party pitted two groups against each other: the Real Democrats and the official Bergen County Democratic Organization (BCDO) candidates. Both groups claimed that they are reformers, honest and full of ideas for the future if elected. What they did not tell the voters is that they heavily rely on special interest’s money that the Clean Election Program intends to eliminate.
