Has nothing been learned from the racial and sexual verbal attacks launched over the airwaves last spring at the Rutgers women’s basketball team?

Within the last two weeks, CBS Radio announced that Craig Carton, former co-host of “The Jersey Guys” on 101.5 would be sharing the reins of a new sports-focused program to air in the slot previously filled by Don Imus. The show premiered today.

Half of Jersey Guys headed to New York

Craig Carton and Ray RossiCraig Carton, ranked by PoliticsNJ.com as the 9th most powerful person in New Jersey politics, is leaving New Jersey 101.5 to take over Don Imus' old time slot at WFAN in New York. Carton will join former Jets quarterback Boomer Esiason.  The announcement, rumored for several weeks, was made by WFAN today.

Caraballo urges party to distance itself from radio station

In the wake of last week’s state trooper flap, Assemblyman Wilfredo Caraballo says he will recommend to his party's leadership that the Democrats not run advertisements in the fall with 101.5, one of 12 stations owned and operated by Millennium Radio.

On their daily talk show, 101.5’s the Jersey Guys over the years have butted heads with then-Acting Gov. Richard Codey, the Latino, Asian and gay communties, and now the New Jersey State Police.
