Taxpayers should be told today how much it cost them to get Joe Biden to speak at Governor Corzine's political rally.

Voters in New Jersey, where property taxes have risen relentlessly every year of Governor Jon Corzine's administration, are too smart to believe the governor's wild campaign claims of tax relief.

The shocking failure to notify the public of a Manhattan flyover of Air Force One and an F-16 fighter plane sadly shows New Jersey has every reason to question the Corzine administration's ability to disseminate vital homeland security information.

Senate Republican Whip Kevin O'Toole, a member of the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee, said that Governor Corzine's huge, proposed income tax increases will kill jobs in New Jersey, even if they are "temporary' measures, as the governor claims.

Governor Corzine's plan to let school districts borrow from the state to make up for lost state aid is just another gimmick designed to get around the intent of the Constitution and the will of people as expressed in last year's vote bannding borrowing without voter approval.

The Corzine administration estimated, incorrectly, that 1 million people will lose their property tax rebates under the governor's latest budget proposal. The correct figure is 1.7 million taxpayers, according to data supplied by the non-partisan Office of Legislative figures. Senator Marcia Karrow is not surprised that Corzine doesn't have his facts straight on a program that helps Middle Class New Jersey.

The Governor simply refuses to match his actions to his rhetoric and stop perpetuating the myth that New Jersey can maintain a level of government far in excess of what it needs and can afford. 

New Jersey is in the ideal physical location to be the national economic leader among the states. It's not because of the public policies we have followed over the last eight years.
