Governor Corzine should apologize to New Jersey, and call a special session immediately to come forth with a bold job creation plan that will begin to counter and then erase the disastrous economic policies of the last eight years.

Senator Steve Oroho, R-Sussex and Hunterdon, said calls for a federal tax increase that would bleed a whopping $100 billion from investments in private sector job growth would be disastrous for the economy of New Jersey. Senator Oroho said Governor Corzine has both the experience and the connections to help prevent passage of this job-killing tax on every single securities transaction, including those made by struggling, undercapitalized pension funds.

A tax proposed by unions and liberal Democrats could prolong the recession in New Jersey. Governor Corzine should do the right thing and speak up against this job-killing tax, Senator Joe Kyrillos says. 

Governor Corzine says we don't need new laws to fight corruption. Is it any wonder that his ethics package has gone no where in the state Legislature? Or that commonsense ethics bills aren't even being considered?



"An auditor general may poll well, but creating a new bureaucracy is not the responsible answer to this problem. While I support many of the party leadership’s initiatives of the party, this is one that I do not support,” Funt continued, "The creation of one more new office just masks the symptoms of the real problem: a legislature that allows our tax dollars to burn a hole in their pockets."

It doesn't make sense not to allow local office supply companies to bid for state business. Governor Corzine should order that bidding be re-opened on a multi-million dollar state contract.

Governor Corzine shouldn't take four months to develop a response to a housing ruling that will lead to expensive lawsuits and strong pressures to raise property taxes. 

Senator Karrow says that local vendors that pay taxes and create jobs in New Jersey deserved a right to bid for a multi-million dollar contract to supply state government with office supplies.
