CODEY REQUESTS DECLARATION OF NATURAL DISASTER TO AID FARMERS
(TRENTON)-Acting Governor Richard J. Codey today sent a letter to the Secretary of Agriculture Mike Johanns requesting he issue a natural disaster designation for nineteen counties in the state. Some New Jersey farmers experienced great crop loss due to excessive rain in the early growing season and excessive heat, humidity and dry weather in the mid and later growing season.
