Clinton machine fully operational in Trenton

Hillary Clinton phone-banker Sahira Rafiullah of West WindsorHillary Clinton phone-banker Sahira Rafiullah of West WindsorClinton’s GOTV effort was in evidence in Trenton this afternoon on West State Street, and up and down the side streets in the vicinity of the State Capitol, where groups of people with clipboards and "Hillary" buttons worked their respective districts.

Upstairs in headquarters, Clinton campaign spokesman Brendan Gilfillan circulated between two floors in the busy brownstone.

"This is our Mercer County phone bank, and we’re also organizing rides statewide out of here," said Gilfillan, stepping away from the front room on the third floor where nearly a dozen volunteers were frantically and happily making phone calls for their presidential candidate.

"We're been at it here since 10 a.m.," said Gilfillan.

Brendan Gillfilan will leave his post as Governor Jon Corzine's spokesman tomorrow.  He'll be going to Iowa to work for Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign.

Corzine Announces Additional Advisory Groups
Distinguished panels to advise transition leadership on implementing Corzine Agenda

TRENTON - Governor-elect Jon S. Corzine today announced the formation of six Policy and Management Advisory Groups that will give recommendations on how best to implement the det1CA3
ailed agenda he outlined during the campaign.

The announced policy groups will address Budget and Reengineering Government; Property Tax Reform; Economic Development; Labor and Workforce Development; Child Welfare; and Public Education.

Throughout the course of the transition these groups will map out short and long-term strategies for implementing the Governor-elect's policy goals. Additionally, they will single out and examine critical issues that need to be addressed within the first six months of the administration.

"I'm proud that these groups of outstanding individuals are willing to help my administration tackle the many problems facing New Jersey today," Corzine said. "We've got a lot of work to do, and I'm confident in the abilities that these individuals bring to our transition team."
