JAY WEBBER URGES SENATOR BOB MARTIN TO KEEP FAITH WITH HIS CONSTITUENTS

Morris Plains, NJ -- 26th District Assembly candidate Jay Webber, who challenged Senator Bob Martin (R-26) in the 2003 Republican primary, today urged Senator Martin to stand with his Party in opposing Governor Jon Corzine's FY 2007 budget:

"The last time you faced the voters, you pledged to them that you would represent their interests by opposing Democrat tax-and-spend policies in Trenton. Now, with Democrats considering record-setting tax hikes and spending levels, your State, your constituents, and your Party need you to fulfill your pledge by voting against the bloated and irresponsible budget proposals under consideration.

"Whenever the Democrat budget comes to a vote, please keep faith with your constituents and oppose any attempt to raise their taxes to pay for the Democrats' runaway spending schemes."
