Is Bob Gordon the smartest legislator?
Senator Robert Gordon (D-Bergen), 57, runs a consulting firm that specializes in emergency preparedness and disaster recovery.  He is a graduate of Williams College and worked as a White House intern and congressional aide.  He served as the Mayor of Fair Lawn before his election to the State Assembly in 2003.  He moved up to the State Senate in 2007.
